"Mike is an incredibly nice person and strives to give his customers the best service. However, this project ended up costing me quite a bit more than I thought I would be paying. I had an estimate for a full door and frame replacement from a retail vendor that was very high (I thought), which is what prompted me to reach out and find him on Home Advisor. Mike just replaced the door using the same frame but also added new hardware and weather stripping to my front door. All of this cost me more than the single full door and frame replacement estimate that I started with. I’m honestly not sure if I could have gotten out of this job at a lower cost, regardless of who I used. So the trade-off was an entire new door and frame (versus a repaired door) and then some upgrades to a second door. In hindsight, I might have opted for the entire new door and frame on the one door, and then used someone like Mike to upgrade the second door. Cost-wise, I think it would have been about the same as I paid. For me, the lesson learned is to never just replace a door. I think it is smarter (from both a utility and aesthetic point of view) to replace the entire door and frame."
